CKM Monte Carlo Simulation

The CKM Monte Carlo simulation is a full GEANT simulation of the detectors written specifically for CKM namely "CKMGEANT".
The CVS code development platform is used for concurrent development at different institutions.
It generates beam K+'s with a central momentum of 22 GeV and with distributions in position, angle, and momentum. Click here for momentum spectrum of the kaons at the entrance of the UMS. The UVa group is responsible for designing and generating the UMS and KEAT simulation using a detailed GEANT-based Monte Carlo. The UMS performance has been modeled and coupled with an existing tracking program modified to the UMS specifications. The simulation includes multiple scattering, interactions, chamber inefficiencies, and multiple hits. The tracking program is projection-based and hence is not optimal for multi-track events. A space-point based tracking program is being written which should improve the ability to resolve events with multiple tracks.
